The Sisters of mercy of the Holy Cross, imbued with the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi and inspired with our founder’s charism of compassionate love to all, value the apostolate of education as a very effective expression this charism and in harmony with our founder’s maxim, “the need of the time is the will of God.” We consider the apostolate of forming fully alive women and men who will live and work for others and contribute to the building up of a just and fraternal Society, to be the need of the time in India today.

Our educational institutions aim at assisting young people to develop into women and men who will be intellectually competent, practically skilled, morally sound, psychologically whole, animated by the divine Spirit of love and freedom, committed to living and working for peace, justice and human togetherness.

Sharing Christ’s concern for the liberation and fullness of life to all people, especially those in greatest need, we endeavour to contribute to the creation of a human society free from prejudices, superstitions and discrimination based on sex, religion, caste, economic status, protective of the environment and characterised by respect for the dignity of the human person.
